5 Days Trekking Tour of Uttarakhand

In the morning after breakfast a short drive of 15 mins from camp to Chopta. On arrival begin the uphill trek of 04 km to Tungnath. Tungnath is the highest temple of Shiva, at a height of 3200 meter. Where the arm of Lord Shiva is worshiped. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks from Chandrashila which can be reached by a further uphill trek of ½ km from the temple of Tungnath. Return back to camp for night stay. Overnight in Chopta.

Chopta: It is one of the most picturesque spot of Uttaranchal state as the natural splendors seen from here are very diverse. Chopta is an offbeat destination and it acts as an interesting tourist getaway for trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Tungnath: Situated at an astounding elevation of 3680mts above sea level, Tungnath Mandir is one of the Panch Kedar and highest temple of Lord Shiva. Tungnath Mandir can be reached by a 3.5km trek starting from Chopta. Ironically Tungnath Mandir the highest amongst Panch Kedar is easiest one to reach.

Today we drive a short distance to the village of Sari. Upon arrival we a climb up a short distance of 2 km to reach to the beautiful high altitude lake of Deoria Tal. On arrival we set up camp site for our overnight stay. Enjoy the breathtaking view of high Himalayan peaks from your campsite. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Deoria Tal: Perched at an elevation of 2438 mts above sea level, Deoria Tal is a lake holding pristine water with captivating surroundings. The reflections of Chaukhamba peaks on the crystal clear water of Deoria Tal creates a magical world. Deoria Tal can be reached by an easy trek of 2km from Sari village located on Ukhimath – Gopeshwar road.

In the morning enjoy a beautiful sun rise in the Himalayas. Later enjoy your hot breakfast and start your return and downhill trek to Sari village. Upon arrival 70 km drive to Kanakchauri. From kanakchauri we start a 3 km uphill trek to Kartik swami. Kartik Swami Temple on the top of hill is a beautiful sight and offers panaromic views of Himalayas on a clear day. later we trek back to Kanakchauri, followed by 40 Km drive to Rudraprayag. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel Kartik Swami temple is dedicated to the elder son of Lord Shiva, Kartikeya, who offered his bones as testimony of his devotion to his father. It is believed that the incident took place here. Lord Kartik Swami is also known as Kartik Murugan Swami in the southern part of India.

In the morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh (4.5hrs. approx.) for further journey.
