The best time to visit Golden Triangle India is between Septembers to March. This period has some of the best temperatures and pleasant weather.

The temperatures can get 45 to 48°C during day time, which sounds like the worst possible way to travel this part of the country.  On the other hand, you’ll confront a small number of tourists, which is always going to be a bonus in this frequently overcrowded sector. WHERE TO START

New Delhi

Experiencing Delhi in a few days can be a striking experience. Usually you need two to three days to explore entirely in all its sense. Your Delhi tour takes you to two absolutely different parts of it. Old Delhi to the north and British-made New Delhi to the south.

Old Delhi is the city of the Mughals and dates back to 17th century. It’s the capital’s most hectic part, and it’s most Islamic. It exhibits that Delhi was a Muslim-ruled city for more than seven hundred years. Old Delhi’s greatest monuments are the mighty Red Fort, and the Jama Masjid, India’s largest and most imposing mosque.  You can pay to climb to the top of one of the minarets for a terrific view over Old Delhi.

To the south, surrounding the modern city centre is New Delhi, set up by the British.  You’ll see the luxury of the New Delhi, the opulent shopping markets and malls.  There are various worth seeing monuments, beautiful temples to explore and the markets to shop around. Some of the most ancient and interesting attractions, including outstanding Qutb Minar , Humayuns Tomb, Raj Ghat which is the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi and India gate, which was erected to commemorate the great Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World War I.

Agra

Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, one of the most popular and visited places in all of India. Without a visit to this former and historic city, Golden Triangle India tour cannot be contemplated a complete one. It used to be the capital city of Mughals, but after the death of Mumtaz Mahal, wife of Shah Jahan, it was shifted to Delhi. The city is also renowned as Taj Nagri.

The Taj Mahal is as mesmerizing in its beauty as it is significant in our heritage. A must-visit destination in everyone’s bucket list that’s travelling to India. It basically is a mausoleum where Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal were graved.

Other places to visit here are Agra fort, the sprawling complex, which is also a World Heritage site. Its grandeur lures every tourist.  One of the most secure and solid forts in the country, made up of red sandstone.

Itimad Ud Daulah Tomb or Baby Taj is also worth stopping. It is generally not too crowded. You can just chill out and enjoy taking pictures from all different angles of the tiles and structures in the gardens.

On the way is Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city of Emperor Akbar. You’ll possibly spend two or three hours here, as there’s so much to witness. The fortified city dates back to 16th century and was the capital of the Mughal Empire for over 10 years. The red sandstone buildings are still maintained superbly.

You will also get to spot Sikandara- the mausoleum where the grave of Mughal emperor Akbar and his four daughters are set up. It was made by Akbar himself in his reign.

Jaipur

Jaipur the Pink city offers a very different experience than you have seen in Delhi and Agra so far. There is enough to see and do here with numerous of the old forts and palaces, the royal residences and the abundance of the shopping opportunities that you get in Jaipur.

There’s countless to see in this beautiful city but luckily, you can visit all of the tourist appeals in a single day. Come across the Old city with Hawa Mahal where the sessions of gossip were held by ladies of royalty and the City Palace the former residence of the Maharajas; Maharajas who donated to remarkable works of architecture. Settled on the top of the Aravali Hills lies the striking Amber Fort, holding great history. If time permits, you may head next to Nahargarh Fort, for a spectacular view of the city. Visiting for sunset would be a great idea to watch darkness fall over the city.

Two hours on the road towards Agra during your Golden Triangle India tour, Abhaneri is one of the most impressive and largest step well in the country. The architecture of well is undoubtedly eccentric with lots of ravelled carvings still intact.
