Darjeeling Kalimpong Tour

On arrival at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station meet with Go High Travels representative, who will introduce you with your Pilot driver and brief you about your tour “Darjeeling Kalimpong Tour”. Now proceed to Darjeeling (4hrs. approx.) by road. Darjeeling - at an height of 2123 meters(70001 feet) lies the land of breathtaking beauty and sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest is the Queen of the hills. It is also home to the famous World Heritage train UNESCO. On arrival check in at htoel. Evening free for own activities or roam around Mall and local Shopping center.

Early morning (around 345am) drive to 8000 feet (2440meters) through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial and Batasia Loop. Leave for hotel and enjoy the breakfast. Now take next round of sightseeing, including Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda. Transfer back to hotel.

Post breakfast leave for an excursion trip to Mirik (2 hrs. approx./ one way). The drive is through scenic roads with occasional stoppage for photography. Mirik is centered round Samendu Lake and is known for its landscaped Gardens, Tea Gardens, Orange Orchards, Cardamom Groves and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges. Enjoy your day at Mirik Lake (Horse riding and Boating – on direct payment). This high altitude Lake is worthvisiting. One can also visit Pashupati Market in Nepal on the way back to Darjeeling.

Post breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Kalimpong by road (2hrs. approx.). Kalimpong – a green destination, situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of 1243 meters(4078 feet). It is a historical destinations with bustling market, colourful people & offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. Reach by afternoon, transfer to hotel for check in. After refreshing, get ready for city tour , drive through scenic road to Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Forest Museum (Closed on Thursday), Dr Graham Homes, Mangaldham, Durbin Monastery, Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only) . Evening free time to explore local market (for shopping or street food) or just roam around the hundred nurseries. Transfer back to hotel.

Post breakfast leave for Bagdogra or Railway station (New Jalpaiguri Railway Station) to board the flight / train for onwards journey.
