The temple features images of Lord Buddha, Bodhisattvas, and various gods and goddesses. It features five caves beneath a large overhanging rock, equipped with a drip line to ensure the interiors stay dry. In 1983, the architecture was enhanced with arched colonnades and a gabled entrance. Inside, the ceilings are painted with intricate patterns of religious images that follow the rock's contours.

Visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, an area believed to be where Rama’s forces gathered against Ravana. "RamPadai" means Rama’s Force, and the hills of Ramboda are thought to be where Hanuman searched for Sitadevi. The Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka built the Anjaneyar temple here, featuring a 16-foot tall statue of Lord Hanuman.

Next, visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kogoda, established to protect Sri Lanka's turtles from extinction. The hatchery buys eggs from fishermen who collect them at night along the beach. Visitors can see large tanks filled with newborn turtle hatchlings. After feeding, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness.
