Day 1 - (Wed): Delhi - The Capital City of India

The Safdarjung Railway Station serves as the boarding point for the luxury train journey on the Palace on Wheels. All the passengers must reach here before 1600hrs. Passengers are greeted with a grand traditional welcome ceremony, which includes garlands, aarti, tikka and Turban, providing an immersive cultural experience right from the start. Guests undergo a smooth check-in process. Staff members are available to assist the guests with their luggage and help them to settle into their cabin. A help desk is there to assist you with any information or enquiry about the journey. All the guests will be served with welcome drink and brief information about the amenities and facilities inside the train.

1600hrs. : Reporting at Safdarjung Railway station
1830hrs. : The train departs from Delhi station at 1830hrs towards Jaipur.

Day 2 - (Thu): Jaipur - Capital City of Rajasthan

The city founded on 1727 is known as the 'Pink City' of Rajasthan. The city is a treasure trove of history and culture, featuring grand forts like Amber Fort, splendid palaces such as the City Palace, and intricate havelis. Jaipur's vibrant bazaars reflecting the rich artistic heritage of the region. The city's blend of architectural marvels and colorful markets make it a captivating destination for visitors.

Day 3 - (Fri) : Sawai Madhopur - Chittorgarh

Sawai Madhopur, a city in Rajasthan, is the gateway to the renowned Ranthambore National Park, one of India's largest and most famous wildlife reserves. The park is known for its significant tiger population and offers a unique opportunity to spot these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

10:30hrs. : Leave for Chittorgarh and lunch on board.

Chittorgarh

1500hrs. : Arrival in Chittorgarh.
1600hrs. : Explore Chittorgarh including magnificent Chittorgarh Fort.
1800hs. : Enjoy tea and some refreshments at the cafeteria at the Fort followed by the sound and light show.
1930hrs. : Return to the train Palace on Wheels.

Day 4 - (Sat) : Udaipur - The City of Lakes

Day 5 - (Sun) : Jaisalmer - The Golden City

Day 7 - (Tues) : Bharatpur - Agra

Day 8 - (Wed) : Delhi (Departure)

Today morning you reach Delhi. Once check-out formalities are completed, you will be start de-board the train Palace on Wheels at Safdarjung railway station and carry the memories with you for lifetime.

Palace on Wheels operates every year between September to April. It departs every Wednesday from Safdarjung Railway station, New Delhi on its scheduled journeys. All the guests must report at 1600hrs for check in process.

Booking & Payment Procedure:

25% of the tariff advance at the time of booking along with the list of guests/Pax and their passport scanned soft copies.
Balance payment 60 days prior to the departure date.
If the balance payment is not made at least 60 days prior to the departure date, a penalty of 12% interest will be applied.
In case of bookings made within 60 days prior to departure date then 100% payment shall be deposited along with the booking details.
GST (5%) as applicable shall be charged extra.

Terms & Conditions:

Children upto 5yrs will be free of cost, sharing cabin with parents.
Children above 5yrs and below 12yrs., 50% of the journey cost shall be applicable. Age proof certificate of the child/ children is mandatory to submit at the time of booking.
On Christmas (25 December) & New Year (1^st January), a surcharge of 10% will be applicable on total fare of Palace on Wheels train departure.
One cabin has occupancy of 2 adults only, or infants or child below 12years additional mattress will be provided.
The mentioned tariff is subject to change without prior notice

Child Policy:

Deluxe Cabin – Child up to 5yrs. shall be allowed sharing bed with parents free of cost. However, double bed is subject to availability, at the time of booking.

Deluxe Cabin – Family with two children between ages of 6-12yrs, cannot allow to share cabin with parents and the family (of 4) will have to take 2 cabins. One of the parents will have to be present in child / children cabin.

Presidential Suite – In case a family travelling with one child between the ages 6-12yrs or two children, one below 5yrs and another between 6-12yrs, can take Presidental suite. The suite has one double bed in Bedroom, one child below 5yrs can share here with parents. In living room, sofa cum bed another child can be accommodated. In this case, child/children of this age, will be free of cost.

Please note we don’t have facility for inter-connecting rooms.

All applicable taxes shall be extra.

Cancellation Policy

If travelers wish to cancel their tour, they must inform in writing through email. The refund amount will depend entirely on how many days remain before the train's departure.

A cancellation made between 120 and 90 days before the travel date will incur a deduction of 10% of the ticket value.
For cancellations made between 89 and 60 days prior to departure, 25% of the ticket value will be deducted.
If cancelled between 59 and 30 days before the journey, 50% of the ticket value will be forfeited.
No refund will be granted for cancellations made within 29 days of the departure date.

In the event the Operator cancels the booking on its own, a full refund (100%) of the amount paid will be processed, without any additional charges or claims.

However, the Operator will not be responsible for any refunds or compensation related to services arranged separately by the guest or travel agents, such as airline tickets, pre/post accommodation, excursions, or other related arrangements.

The Operator, with prior intimation to RTDC, reserves the right to cancel any scheduled departure for any reason. In such a scenario, a full refund of the amount received will be provided.

In case of low occupancy, the Operator will review the situation and notify travel agents 60 days prior to the departure. The Operator may cancel the departure up to 30 days in advance and will inform the concerned agents or individuals accordingly.

A minimum occupancy of 50%, equivalent to 17 cabins, is required for the train operations to be conducted.
