Splendors Of Ladakh Tour

On arrival at Leh airport meet with Go High Travels representative, who will introduce you with your Pilot driver and brief you about your tour “Splendours of Ladakh Tour”. Now proceed to hotel for smooth check in . Rest of the day for complete rest as acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs).

Post breakfast free for own activities. Later in the afternoon visit some sightseeing points covering Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa, Leh Palace. Evening explore local markets for some shopping.

Post breakfast drive down to Indus Valley for a trip to Lamayuru circuit (approx. 130 kms.), famous for the dramatically located Lamayuru Monastery and the adjoining Moonland features. Return back to Leh route till Uleytokpo (60 kms.). On arrival check in at fixed camp / resort.

Post breakfast leave for Leh, enroute visit 11^th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh- a UNESCO listed heritage site. Also visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery), Magnetic Point and Hall of Fame. Transfer to hotel for smooth check in .

Post breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, drive across Khardong-la (alt 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. On arrival check in at fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit/ Hundar.

Post breakfast check out from hotel. Visit Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Now proceed back to Leh, reach by evening, transfer to hotel for check in .

Post breakfast leave for excursion trip to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip), located on the Indo-China Border. Enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt 17370 ft.). Enjoy pleasant time and sightseeing around the lake. Drive back to Leh, reaching by evening, transfer to hotel.

Early morning departure for Tsomo-riri Lake (alt: 15,000 ft.) driving through Chumathang (hot springs), Mahe and Puga Sumdo. Tsomoriri Lake (28 km long & about 8 km wide) is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed Geese.

Overnight in fixed camp /Guest House.

Post breakfast drive back on the route down to Puga Sumdo and follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and supports many rare wild life species. Now proceed back to Leh enroute crossing Taglang-la (alt 17,585ft). On arrival transfer to hotel for check in.

Post breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to airport to board the flight for onwards journey.
