Day 1 - Arrive Chennai

On arrival at Chennai International airport you will meet & greet by our representative who will brief you about your South India Holiday package with Go High Travels alongwith an introduction with your pilot / driver. Now proceed to hotel for check in. Day at leisure.

Chennai - the capital city of Indian state Tamilnadu, located on the South Eastern coast of India, also known with its former name Madras.

Day 2 - Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram by drive

Post breakfast pack your bags & complete the checkout formalities. Now the day starts with Chennai sightseeing tour, which is the second day of your South India Holiday tour. Visit the famous Santhome Church now proceed to Kapaleeswarar Temple. Now proceed to Kanchipuram which is about 78kms (1.5hrs. approx. by drive), which is an ancient city of Tamilnadu state of India, you are going to explore the most popular temples here includes, Ekambareswarar Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple and Varadharaja Perumal Temple which are some main Hindu temples over here. Kanchipuram is a traditional centre of silk weaving and handloom industries for producing Kanchipuram Sarees.

Now proceed ahead to Mahabalipuram which is about 68kms (1.5hrs. approx. by drive). On arrival Check in at hotel. Evening free at leisure.

Mahabalipuram - It’s known for its beautiful temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries, religious monuments in the coastal resort town of Mamallapuram in Tamilnadu, Southern State of India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site as well.

Day 3 - Mahabalipuram tour

Post breakfast you will leave for city tour on day 3 of your South India tour. The places to be visited are Five Rathas, Arjuna Dhabas, Krishna Mandap, Krishna Butterball and Shore Temple. Now proceed back to hotel.

Day 4 - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry by drive

Post breakfast check out for the next destination of your South India tour by drive (2hrs. approx.). Pondicherry – is a popular tourist destination of South India. It has many colonial buildings, temples, churches and statues which combined with the systematic town planning and planned French style avenues still preserve much of the colonial ambiance.

On arrival check in at hotel . Afternoon experience bliss and soulful journey while exploring the extensiveSri Aurobindo Ashram. Also visit the Matri Mandir at Auroville, an evolving city .

Day 5 - Pondicherry - Tanjore - Trichy by drive

Post breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Trichy by road (4hrs. approx.), enroute visit Tanjore. Thanjavur - is a city in South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Thanjavur is an important center of South Indian religion, art, and architecture. It is an important pilgrim centre and a major tourist destination of Tamil Nadu. Its many temples include the 11th-century Brihadeeswarar Temple, a vast Chola dynasty–era complex with a frescoed interior . Brihadeshwar temple and fort, Thanjavur Palace and Museum are the worthseeing over there.

Now drive continue to Trichy, on arrival check in at hotel. Evening free at leisure.

Day 6 - Trichy - Rameshwaram by drive

Post breakfast check out from hotel & enjoy sightseeing tour of Trichy. Visit Ranganatha Vishnu Temple. Here you can view the religious ceremony of people performing last death rites of the persons dead on the bank of River Cauvery . Then climb the 437 steps to the 83m high Rock Fort and Ranganatha Temple , also visit Jambukeshwara temple. Now drive to Rameshwaram (4hrs. approx.), on arrival check in at hotel.

Day 7 - Rameshwaram - Madurai by drive

Post breakfast get ready for Rameswaram sightseeing tour. Rameshwaram is located at Pamban Island segregated from mainland India and is approximately 40 kilometres from Mannar Island Sri Lanka. During your South India tour today, you will visit Rameshwaram temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. As per the legends, it is believed that the temple was built by Lord Rama which was renovated which we see today is a new version. Now proceed to Madurai (4hrs. approx.), on arrival check in at hotel.

Madurai - is an ancient and energetic city in South Indian state of Tamil Nadum which is located at Vaigai River. The city has a number of historical monuments, it is also an important educational & Industrial hub of Tamilnadu state of India.

Day 8 - Madurai tour

Post breakfast explore the city during 8th day of your South India Tour. The most prominent temples to be visited are Meenaksh Amman Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her consort Lord Shiva, now visit Tiumalai Nayak Palace . Post lunch explore the local market & surroundings.

Day 9 - Madurai - Kanyakumari by drive

Post breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Kanyakumari (5hrs. approx.). On arrival check in at hotel. After refreshment, just explore the local surrounding enjoy Kanyakumari beach, Vivekananda Rock and Confluence of Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea – Sangam. Enjoy sunset here.

Day 10 - Kanyakumari - Kovalam by drive

Post breakfast check out from hotel and drive further to Kovalam (3hrs. approx.), on arrival get a smooth check in. Day at leisure.

Day 11 - 11-14 Kovalam (Ayurveda treatment)

During this duration (Day 11 till Day14) explore and enjoy the beauty of Kovalam. Have a great time at the Kovalam beach, which is a combination of three beaches – Lighthouse, Samudra and Hawah. Try various activities like catamaran sailing, sunbathing and swimming. Experience complete rejuvenation of the mind, body and soul with various Ayurveda therapies.
