India Nepal Buddhist Circuit

On arrival at Gaya airport meet with Go High Travels representative, who will introduce you with your Pilot driver and brief you about your tour “India Nepal Buddhist Circuit” and transfer to hotel for smooth check in. Bodhgaya - it is the place where Buddha attained supreme knowledge or Enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. It is considered the most important pilgrimage for all sects of Buddhists throughout the world.

Post breakfast leave for local sightseeing. Visit the major tourist attractions such as Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi tree and Sujata Village. Transfer back to hotel. Spend some time at the bank of Niranjana river in the evening.

Post breakfast take excursion trip to Rajgir (2.5 hrs approx.)and Nalanda (12kms). Rajgir -The picturesque Rajgir, or Rajagriha as it was known in the past (literally, the abode of kings) is surrounded by the meandering river Banganga and 5 hills. During the lifetime of the Buddha this was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom, ruled by the virtuous King Bimbisara. The hills and caves surrounding Rajagriha were home to spiritual teachers, ranging from the materialism of the early Charavaka school to the metaphysics of Upanishadic philosophers. Like many others in search of truth, Prince Siddhartha, after he renounced his royal heritage came to this city to seek the path of vation. Nalanda- it was the most renowned university in ancient India. It derived its name from Na-alam-da, meaning Insatiable in Giving, one of the names by which the Lord Buddha was known. Arrive Bodhgaya, transfer to hotel.

Post breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Varanasi (5.5hrs. approx.). On arrival check in at hotel. Post lunch excursion to Sarath (14kms). It is a place where the Buddha preached his first sermon in the Deer Park, contains the most impressive remains, as well as a modern temple. Now back to hotel.

Early morning enjoy boat ride on River Ganges visit Bathing Ghats. Witness the live rituals of the world’s most important religion. Sailing on the holy waters of Ganga, enjoy the sight of sunrise. Return to hotel for breakfast. Now drive to Kushinagar(7hrs. approx.), on arrival transfer to hotel for smooth check in.

Post breakfast check out from hotel and visit some important site here. Kushinagar is the place where the Buddha finally attained Mahaparmirvana. You will visit Mahaparinirvana Temple & Stupas. Now proceed to Sravasti by drive (5hrs. approx.). On arrival check in at hotel.

Post breakfast leave for Lumbini by drive (4hrs. approx..). Before moving ahead visit Saheth - Maheth & Jetvan , It has a number of Buddhist Stupas and monasteries. Continue drive, entoute visit Kapilvastu Lord Buddha had spent his childhood and youth in this town. Continue to Lumbini, on arrival check in at hotel.

Early morning visit the holy birth place of Lord Buddha. Return to hotel for breakfast. Timely transfer to airport to catch the flight for Kathmandu. On arrival, meet and assist, then proceed for lunch in local restaurant. Post lunch proceed to visit Swoyambhunath Temple and Durbar Square. Transfer to hotel for smooth check in.

Post breakfastproceed for the full day sightseeing of Kathmandu city visit Boudhnath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple. Also, explore the local market. Evening free for own activities.
